n 1997, she made her acting debut at the age of 13. At the age of 13, Vandervoort made her debut as an actress at age 13. After attending several classes and performing background work for Canadian programs like Road to Avonlea or Harriet the Spy she landed her part as a speaking actress in the Canadian kids horror anthology Goosebumps. There were commercials too as well as guest starring in movies like Mutant X and Prom Queen: The Marc Hall Story. Goosebumps was also aspect of her professional career. Vandervoort had her feature-film debut in 2006 on The Lookout. She starred alongside Jeff Daniels and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Matthew Goode was also present. Vandervoort got a role in Smallville, a serial drama that airs on The CW. Her role was Clark Kent's Kryptonian "Kara Kent", the woman who will turn into Supergirl. In season 7, she was a regular in the series. In season 7, she was in "Bloodline" which was the episode of season 8. The actress returned to Smallville for two additional episodes throughout the last season and was also her tenth. Following The CW, Vandervoort shot the sequel to Into the Blue titled Into the Blue 2 : The Reef. The Jazzman is her third independent production.
