She took part in the Miss Columbus pageant in 1985. In the end, she won the title and kissing the crown the queen, she swept away all of the contestants. The winner was entitled, as because of this win to compete in Miss Georgia Pageant. Miss Georgia Pageant in June of 1985. In June 22 Mohr was awarded the title of winner. Mohr was selected to represent Georgia as well as the state of Georgia, at Miss America's 1986 pageant which was held at Atlantic City New Jersey. Despite her victory however, she was not within the Top 10 to win the national title.
